Recruiting 18+yo English Speaking Elite Athletes for Research Participation

As part of my university research work I am recruiting participants to help improve mental health services for elite athletes.

Background

In collaboration with an international team of researchers and sport psychologists, we are attempting to address a service gap in accessing mental health services. To do so, we are developing a new survey with elite athletes as the primary user.

Mental health services for athletes have typically relied on measurement tools (mental health surveys) which have generally been designed for a more general population. However, elite athletes often respond to and appraise questions surrounding mental health differently to the general population. Therefore, it is important to develop specific measurement tools for them.

Who We are Recruiting

We are seeking fluent English speaking adult(18+) elite, and near elite, athletes currently active in their sport.

Participation

Participation is simple and quick and includes completing one survey packet online each week for 3 weeks in a row. The first packet takes roughly 15-20 minutes and each of the next two only take about 10 minutes.

Data Confidentiality

All participant responses are confidential, anonymous, and only aggregate deidentified data will be published. Data from this project will directly impact access, effectiveness, and level of mental health services available to athletes worldwide.
